Women's health forums in Tasmania have an even longer history than just the last two in 2000 and 2002. In the early 1990's the first one was held in Hobart, then in 1996 another based in Hobart, 'Sharing Our Stories - listening, talking, learning' was a great success. In 1999 the forum moved up to Newstead College in Launceston for the first time, and 'Women Talking Through the Ages' was held to much acclaim. It was at the 1996 forum that seed money was set aside to ensure future forums would occur, a strategy that we still have in place for the planning of 'Women On Top'!
